Betsy is not just known as the “Storyteller”, but also as the “Puppet Lady”. Through her puppets, she breaks down barriers and teaches through stories that the children can identify with. Each program is adapted to meet the age of the listener. Betsy makes it a point to find out exactly what the objective of the class is and writes a fresh program just for that setting. They are filled with creative illustrations and games, instructive stories, and fun songs, with lots of opportunity for participation. Each learning style: auditory, visual, and kinesthetic are used to meet each child, in some way.

A model that Betsy has used whenever she puts together a presentation is based on the concept of PRECEPT/ PRINCIPLE/ PERSON, taken from Josh McDowell’s book, Right From Wrong. The purpose of each program is to show “Who God Is - God Is Love.”

It is Betsy’s desire to help each child walk away knowing that they are so special; that God loves them no matter what. Each program is written with lots of love, prayer, Bible study, and enthusiasm.

Follow the Golden Rule

Here you'll meet Belmont the Bear looking for the Golden Ruler. Belmont, along with Good Sam, Huston and the other puppets learn learn lessons that we are always happier when we "do unto others as you would like them to do for you." (Luke 6:31 NLT)

You Are Special

In this program, you will learn that we are all God's special workmanship. The children will learn about the four basic Personalities. They will discover that we should learn to respect our differences, not resent them; and see how we can get along by doing what we do best...being ourselves the special way God made us to be. "I will praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made." (Psalms 139:14)

Respect Others: Be Careful What You Say

God is very clear how we need to be respectful to others. The way we talk to each other is a big part of respect. Huston learns a big lesson about "everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry" (James 1:19 NIV). The emphasis is on the power of words.
